Washington County Minnesota and Pierce and St. Croix Counties Wisconsin are hosting a free Summer Picnic.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a grass roots organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for people whose lives are affected by mental illness. Our purpose is to provide support, to educate, and empower individuals and families, to promote public understanding of mental illness in order to combat stigma, and to advocate at all levels of government.

Purpose of the picnic: for the community to come and learn about the resources NAMI offers in the St. Croix River Valley, develop connections and meet your chapter board members, and enjoy a fun afternoon outside.

What will be offered:

• Free catered lunch

• Learn about the benefits of mindfulness and yoga for overall health

• Participate in various lawn games and activities

• Raffle giveaways

• Meet your local affiliate board members, discover resources in your community, learn about policy and advocacy that relates to both Minnesota and Wisconsin residents
